You can buy it with or without dainty sterling silver chain. If you are buying it as a gift I would suggest 16" (40cm) or 18" (45cm) chain. If you are not sure about the length, place a string around your neck and hold both ends by your chest where you want the pendant to sit, then measure the length of the string.
